Balances the nervous system thus reducing nervousness and tension in the body and mind, creating a feeling of calm and equanimity. Inversion is regarded as a cure for depression and neurosis by Yogis. Decompresses and realigns the spine thus helping with back and neck pain. Benefits the cardio-vascular system and has been demonstrated by a Swedish medical researcher to be the only known cure for heart flutter. Inversion also increases oxygenation of all cells. The School of Inversion ☯ Therapy
was founded in 1994 in order to train therapists in this method at a high professional standard. Today, training as an I T or B I T therapist is offered at two levels. Level I is in either the I T or B I T bodywork techniques. Level II Training is covered in four modules:
1. Psychotherapy Soul Centred Therapy. ( SCT ) 2. Coaching Soul Centred Coaching. ( SCC ) 3. Shamanic Techniques. 4. Children & Special Needs. For more information see Professional Training |
Ball Inversion ☯ Therapy. B I T
was developed in the early 90s and has become the first line training for Inversion Therapists. Requiring less bodywork skill than I T and reducing training time by at least one year B I T nevertheless delivers the same healing benefits as I T. In some cases, such as where the client has movement difficulties, this method can be more suitable than I T and there is also no weight or size limit. See a slide show of a session; ABOUT |

Inversion Therapy and Raja Yoga.
The essence of Inversion Therapy is that it slows down and stops the choice making movement of the mind. Clients experience peacefulness in their minds. This is the very essence of Raja Yoga as defined by Patanjali in the Yoga Sutras. Patanjali mentions a few different methods for achieving this state of mind but it is not an exclusive list. His favourite though is to meditate on the gap between the incoming and the outgoing breath and the gap between the outgoing breath and the incoming breath. In an Inversion Therapy session not only does the mind slow down because of the inversion but the gap between the outgoing and incoming breath automatically become elongated. Thus, Inversion Therapy delivers the essence of Raja Yoga to all clients as the minimum benefit of the treatment. The other physiological structural and psychological benefits are many. See, ABOUT. |
Here is an interview I gave with the Istanbul artist Raif Kurt about I T and Overtone Singing.
